Connect Precept to Claude
Query Precept's B2B contact engine, search companies, and enrich target account insights directly from Claude.ai (works across both Claude Web and Claude Desktop).
Claude.ai Custom Connector (OAuth 2.1)
Set up Precept as a Custom Connector in your Claude.ai interface. This works across both the Claude.ai Web client and Claude Desktop, leveraging our secure, deployed OAuth 2.1 flow.
Open Claude Settings
Log in to your Claude.ai account. On the left side bar, select Customize, and navigate to the Connectors tab.
Add Custom Connector
Click the Add Custom Connector option from the dropdown menu (or the "+" button in the top right of the connectors panel).
Enter Connector details
Fill out the form details using our hosted endpoint:

Click the connect button and the browser opens
Under the Connectors settings, locate the newly added PreceptAI Custom connector under the Not connected list and click the Connect button. A new browser tab will automatically open to begin the authorization process.
Enter Precept API Key and Authorize
In the browser pop-up window, enter your secure Precept API Key (starts with pt_) generated in your Precept Developer Dashboard, and click the Authorize Connector button to approve the integration.
You are now fully connected
Once authorized, the page will display a Connected success state and a redirect action. The connection between Claude and your Precept intelligence server is now fully established, and you can close the browser tab.
Precet tools in Claude
When you return to the Claude application, the PreceptAI connector will show the list of available research tools. We highly recommend clicking the permission dropdown in the top-right corner and changing it to Always allow to prevent Claude from prompting you for approval on every message.
Example Usage in Claude
Once connected, Claude can natively use Precept to retrieve sales leads, find companies, and generate B2B intelligence tables in real-time.
